hey! I’m Courtney…
I’m a Charleston native who stumbled into nutrition after changing majors twice in college. After graduating Clemson, I moved to Chicago to complete a one-year dietetics internship. That one-year program turned into a decade long stint in the Windy City after I met my husband and we settled into married city life.
While I worked for a variety of health businesses in Chicago, my nutrition world was forever rocked when I began working for a medical office that had a natural and holistic approach to nutrition and health. It changed the way I practiced dietetics and the way I viewed my personal health. It was awesome. But even more awesome was becoming a mom to three kids and being able to write from home for that very medical office.
At the end of 2015, I returned home and launched a private nutrition practice on Daniel Island. I also finally started that personal blog I had been dreaming about for years. I’d love for you to read it here.
You can find me writing on all things health, hanging out with my favorite people, and dreaming of what new restaurant we will check out next.
I hold a B.S. in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Clemson University.
I completed my dietetic internship through Loyola University Chicago.
I am a Certified LEAP Therapist which allows me to counsel people through individual food sensitivities.
